Description: 17th-century brown goatskin; gold-tooled fanfare design, with armorial centrepiece (chevron, azure, two etoiles and lion rampant, crest of bishop’s mitre and crozier), with motto in oval ribbon "Quae est expectatio mea. Nonne. Dominus."; gold-tooled spine; holes for ties; gold-tooled fillet on board edges; text-block edges with traces of gilding.
